If you're just getting into this...you may be wondering what exactly it is. The answer to that is actually kind of vague for the simple fact that DHTML isn't actually a language or anything like that...it's best described as a technique.
With Dhtml you can control things such as the attributes of Layers, Text size, browser windows...and all this without reloading the page. That is the beauty of DHTML...you can do things a lot faster without actually having to bother the server with another request. This will result in better user experience (if done right), less server load, and a better understanding of javascript by you.
I'm gonna give you a little taste of DHTML in this tutorial by basically showing you the elements that went into making the interface that this tutorial (and my homepage) is presented in.
